Dr. Edward Jones

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Edward Jones, the Company’s Chief Medical Officer, is one of the founding physicians of Delaware Valley Nephrology and Hypertension Associates. From 1980 the physician group through Delaware Valley Dialysis L.L.C. founded, acquired and built one of the most successful quality-oriented network of dialysis facilities in the greater Philadelphia marketplace; Mt. Airy/Chestnut Hill Dialysis Center, Lansdale Dialysis Center, and Germantown Dialysis Center.

In 2002 he sold the network to Renal Care Group; Inc. Dr. Jones has extensive management experience in the practice of Nephrology as well as the business and clinical operations of dialysis facilities. Dr. Jones serves on many hospital, community and medical society boards, and a director of the Renal Physicians Association (RPA).

He also represents the RPA at the American Medical Association. Dr. Jones was a faculty member at Temple University before taking over as Chief of Nephrology and subsequently Chairman of the Department of 17 Medicine at Germantown Hospital in Philadelphia. The former transpired before his involvement in the dialysis facilities. He is recognized throughout the medical community for his contribution to Nephrology and Hypertension medicine. Dr. Jones is a 1970 graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, a 1974 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina and subsequently served his internship at Temple University and his fellowship in nephrology at the University of Pennsylvania.

In addition, he completed his Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from St. Joseph’s University in 1999. Most recently he served as Medical Director for Medical Management at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network where he developed Quality Outcome initiatives and directed managed services including negotiations with local payors.
